The King’s College – Administration Building

Aaron Guppy

Lantern Architecture were initially engaged to design our new administration building. They did this with imagination and practicality. We were so please with the outcome we engaged Lantern to design our renovation to the Early Learning Center along with a new toilet block and undercover area.

Currently Lantern is working on arguably our most significant project to date, our new senior school building. This consists of four science laboratory’s, nine general learning areas along with toilets and teachers preparation.

Lantern Architecture are a pleasure to work with and continue to exceed our expectations, find imaginative solutions to all task we present them with.

I would not hesitate to recommend Lantern Architecture as skilled, pragmatic and imaginative architects for any size project.

I worked closely with Clinton Matthews from Lantern Architecture on “The Flour Factory’’ to achieve an outcome that has been a great collaborative success. The building is Heritage listed, so special care and a professional approach was paramount. I knew the feel and tactile nature that I wanted to deliver in the space and talked through this with Clinton at the start or the process. Throughout the project Clinton listened to my ideas and integrated them along with material selections, combining the technical requirements such as efficient planning principals, disabled access and egress, the addition of a lift, additional toilet facilities. Clinton quickly negotiating the various approvals requirements of the City of Perth and the Heritage Council of WA.

I found Clinton to be practical, easy to work with, very proficient and professional.

I would certainly recommend Clinton Matthews to prospective clients considering an architect for their project.

Tall Trees

We found a lovely little block of land down south and knew we needed an architect. We approached Clinton Matthews from Lantern Architecture and started the design process. The site is long and narrow with a considerable fall down to a bush setting that we really liked. The design evolved quickly and elegantly taking into account our brief and the site opportunities. We found Clinton very easy to work with and he was very responsive to our needs.

The end result is a very unique and wonderful house that we absolutely love. The design takes full advantage of the natural beauty of the site.

If you’re looking for a great architect then do yourself a favor and contact Clinton at Lantern Architecture.
